UPGRADING THE CREATIVE SOUNDBLASTER PRO DRIVERS

If you already have SoundBlaster Pro drivers 
installed on your system you need to remove them
before you install the new version of these drivers.

To remove the old SoundBlaster Pro drivers:

1  In the Main group, choose Control Panel.

2  In the Control Panel window, choose the Drivers
   icon. 
 
3  In the Installed Drivers list, select a Creative
   SoundBlaster driver you want to remove.

4  Choose the Remove button.

5  Choose the Yes button to confirm you want to
   remove this driver.
   
   Remove all SoundBlaster Pro drivers you currently
   have installed on your system. Repeat the procedure
   for each driver you want to remove. DO NOT restart
   Windows until all SoundBlaster drivers have been
   removed.

6  Exit Windows.

7  In your Windows SYSTEM directory, delete the
   "SBPMIXER.CPL" file, if it exists.

8  Restart Windows, and then install the new
   SoundBlaster Pro drivers.
